Un zorro levanta la cabeza buscando los rayos de sol tras varios días de lluvia en el el Parque Nacional de Hokkaido, Japón.

After days of cold, late autumn rain, the sun appears in Shiretoko National Park in Hokkaido, Japan. “He [seemed] to have eaten no mouse for several days,” writes Your Shot member Hiroki Inoue of this fox, captured as it lifted its head to the rays.

Después de seguir a un grupo de zorros durante todo el verano, Denis Dumoulin sabía que las primeras nieves le brindarían la oportunidad de observarlos haciendo cosas nuevas, como aprender a cazar cuando la presa está bajo la nieve.

 After following a den of foxes in Quebec for an entire summer, Your Shot member Denis Dumoulin knew that the first snowfall would present a unique opportunity to see the animals in a new way. He was right: After a night spent on the ground concealed from their view, he captured this well-earned shot of a young fox learning to hunt. “I [saw] magnificent scenes of training,” Dumoulin says. “All this lasted only a few minutes … [just enough] time to immortalize him.”

A red fox meanders through dunes along the New Jersey shore in this picture by Your Shot member Mitch Adolph. “When it got to the top of this dune, I got down on my knees to get a lower point of view and bring the cloudy sky into the background,” he writes. “As the fox looked back, I got this shot."

Con un poco de retraso, pero aquí está :)

Una vez un refugio de caza real,  el Parque Nacional Gran Paradiso conserva un lado salvaje de Italia. En la imagen de esta semana, un zorro rojo acecha, camuflado en el bosque de otoño. Como todos los zorros, los de Gran Paradiso son oportunistas adaptables; que capturan peces, cazan conejos o limpian desechos de la comida campestre.

A bit late, but it is here now :)

Once a royal hunting retreat, Gran Paradiso National Park preserves a wild side of Italy. Here, a red fox lies in wait, camouflaged in the autumn woods. Like all foxes, those in Gran Paradiso are adaptable opportunists; they’ll catch fish, hunt rabbits, or scavenge picnic scraps.
