La Imagen de la Semana: Amanecer

Cuando la niebla se levantó de de los Lagos Vermilion, el fotógrafo Vitali Hantsevich pudo captar esta imagen del amanecer con el Monte Rundle al fondo y también reflejado en las aguas.

A dense fog was covering Vermilion Lakes, just outside of Banff, Canada, when Your Shot member Vitali Hantsevich arrived at 5 a.m. in search of a good sunrise shot. “The visibility was so low that I even decided not to take my camera and tripod out of the backpack,” he writes. He was about to return to his car when the fog lifted to reveal this view of the lake with Mount Rundle in the background. “I was so afraid that this magical light would disappear as rapidly as it came that I started shooting with a yellow-blue polarizer, which I had used the evening before and which was still attached to the lens. The polarizer added a maroon color to the image.”

El Lago O'Hara está ubicado en las Montañas Rocosas de Canadá a más de 6.600 pies. Fue descrito "como una esmeralda en un tazón de montañas" por el paleontólogo Charles Walcott en 1911. Generaciones de artistas han pintado desde este mirador, llamado All Souls Prospect, en el Parque Nacional de la Columbia Británica de Yoho.

Lake O’Hara nestles in the Canadian Rockies at more than 6,600 feet “like an emerald in a bowl of mountains,” wrote paleontologist Charles Walcott in 1911. Generations of artists have put brush to canvas at this lookout, called All Souls Prospect, in British Columbia’s Yoho National Park.

La Imagen de la Semana: Jorobada

Bueno, hacía semanas que no habia Imagen de la Semana porque he estado muy liada, pero ahora que vuelvo a tener algo de tiempo a ver si retomo la sana costumbre del Blog :)

Con el calor que hace, he pensado que una imagen con agua nos vendría bien a todos para refrescarnos :)

Well, for weeks there haven't been Picture of the Week because I've been very busy, but now I have some time free again. And I hope I return to the healthy habit of writing in this Blog :)

With this heat, I thought an image of water would help us all refresh :)
